Had Unprotected Sex, Oral Sex, For Few Minutes. Can I Get HIV? How Long Will It Take To Discover It?

I have a male friend, he took me out, licked my vagina, i have not been having hiv, can i get it if he licked my vigina when he has hiv?

He also put his penis inside my vigina but i got him out in 2 minutes, can i get hiv if he had it, lastly how long does the virus take to be detected in case i got it?
Is there any medicine to stop hiv transmission if one had unprotected sex?

Hello dear,

The chances of acquiring HIV through saliva is minimal as viral load is very less.
Though, there are chances of acquiring HIV infection from unprotected sexual intercourse with an affected individual.

According to the history mentioned in your post, the HIV status of your partner is not certain.

Under such circumstances, I would recommend you to undergo certain tests like p24 assay or PCR for HIV, which becomes positive within a week and are almost 100 % sensitive.
Even the presence of a single virus in the body can be detected by PCR.
So, if this test comes negative, you can be sure that you are safe.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
