Had Unprotected Sex, But Used Postinor. Pregnancy Test Is Positive. Possibility Of Ectopic Pregnancy?

i had unprotected sex less than one week apart and used Postinor 2 on both occassions. on the 19th of same month, i started seeing brownish discharges that lasted for about 5 days. i just did a home pregnancy test and its positive! is it possible, if so, is my baby affected by the use of the pill? im scared of any abnormality or an ectopic pregnancy. please advice

Hello,

Here, you should undergo one blood test for beta-HCG to confirm the pregnancy. Next thing is one TVS scan which can determine and confirm either uterine or ectopic pregnancy. Brownish discharge is a sign of implantation bleeding.

Before confirmation of pregnancy, there is no harmful effect on the growing embryo, caused by Postinor 2 as organogenesis takes place 4-5 weeks onwards.

Consult with your gynecologist regarding this to take suggestive measures. Good luck.
