Had Unprotected Sex. Rapid Hiv Test Negative. Accuracy Of Rapid Hiv Test?

hi i had unprotected sex with a girl i was dating, prior to meeting me she had unprotected sex with her exboyfriend in the last week of january, she had a rapid hiv test at 4, 6 and yesterday the 26.03.2012 and all where negative, should i be worried, could those tests be wrong. how accurate is the rapid hiv test at 8 weeks

Test for H.I.V. is false negative only during window period of the disease. In most people, this period is between 2 and 12 weeks. In a very small number of people, the process takes up to 6 months. Thus one can become sure only if test is negative after 6 months also. It is better to avoid unprotected sex.
