Had Two Pregnancies Back To Back. Stopped Breastfeeding. No Periods. Experiencing Cramps, Bloatedness. Pregnancy Test Negative. Suggestions?
I have had two pregnancies back to back with no period since November 2010. I stopped breast feeding almost two months ago now and no period. Pregnancy tests are negative. How long could it take for my cycle to return to normal? I am currently feeling extremely emotional, cramping, and major bloating which is why I took the tests.
I can understand your concern. But periods (normal cycle) might take from 2-4 months after discontinuation of breast feeding to return to normal. This is a completely normal phenomenon, and should not cause much concern.
But for your satisfaction it is always best to consult your doctor regarding the same. All your other symptoms are in response to your hormones, so this is also normal.
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.
Best wishes.
