Had Symptoms Of Tonsilitis. Was Given Penicillin. Is It Normal To Have Blood Traces In Mucus Keep Blowing Out Or Coughing Up?
Hi, i have had the symptoms of tonsilitis for 2 weeks now but was only diagnosed with it yesterday, i have been given penicillin to take four times a day for 10 days. i am just wondering when the antibiotics will start to take affect and also is it normal to have blood traces in my mucus that i keep blowing out or coughing up? Thankyou.
Hi, Antibiotics take 2-3 days to work at its best. Having slight blood traces in is common due to congestion in throat might give blood stained mucous while coughing due to irritation. Ok and take care.
