Had Spinal Fusion And Pain In Arms. Prescribed With Prednisone. How To Get Rid Of Pain?

i have c3/4/5and 6 fused. c4/5 operative. lately getting shooting pain/numbness down both arms to fingertips. Dr has prescribed prednisone, two tablets daily. is it worth taking as i may have candida? Not getting any sleep and discs above and below fusions now bulging hope u can help, thanks

Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
It is unfortunate that you are getting pain and numbness despite having undergone surgery.
As of now, you can get relief from medications such as pregabalin or gabapentin capsules.
Prednisone is a steroid, which may be safe if used for short term. But in long term, it may have side effects, including worsening of candida infection.
