Had Shot Meth And Missed Vein. Feeling Normal But Have Burning Sensation Like Hot Needles Poking At Skin

I am concerned. For a friend of Mine she told me she shot meth or she called it ice. The normal rush was there so I doesn't sound to me like she missed vein. She mentioned it was thick not sure what that means.now she is laying down responsive of course talking breathing normal other then a rush like she is high again but she is sayinf she has burning sensations all over like hot needles poking at skin. Is this something that isa normal reaction.? Anything I should look for?? I've already asked her to stop and she won't go to the er so I'm trying to be supportive I don't want her alone iust in case. ...

Thanks for posting on HCM,

What happened is that she simply administered the meth through another means in her system which might have another way of acting on her. If she did an intramuscular or subcutaneous injection instead of intravenous, it might get into her system and present with other problems like the one she might be having now. But I do not think it would be fatal if you keep supporting her at home (even though the normal thing to do is get her to the ER).
Now what you can do for her is get her a cold bath, give her much fluids to drink and keep observing her for any abnormalities and in case of any strange symptoms (with obvious severity) do not hesitate to take her to the ER even against her wish. But she should normally get better as time wears off.
