Had Protected Sex. Feeling Weak, Throat Pain, Fever, No Sores In Genital Area. STD Symptoms?

Hello Doctor,

I had protected sex with an escort, the condom was not put on right the first time but that was corrected before any oral sex or vaginal intercourse. The condom did not slip off or break (from what I could tell) at any point from start to finish. It has been a week since the incident and my throat is acting up, slight headache and low fever as well. No sores on the genital area, neither is there any burning sensation when I pee. I was just worried that the bad throat/fever is an std symptom or not, more importantly HIV. Please advice If I need to be concerned.

Thank you

HI,
Welcome to HCM.
Protected sex reduces chance of STI to almost nil. Sexually transmitted infection usually presents with genital sores, and discharge associated with urinary tract infection.
I am suspecting viral fever in your case.
Salt water gargling will help reduce the pain in throat.
Over the counter fever medications will suffice for the fever for now.
If does not reduce, get in touch with your GP for a prescription of antibiotics.

Thanks.
