Had Non Hodgkin S Lymphoma. Had Chemotherapy. Renal Problem. How Can I Confirm It?
i had non hogkins lymphoma and went through chemo therapy. i am now cancer free but on my last pet scan my doctor said the radiologist said there may be a possibility of a renal problem. Nothing definite nor confirmed and my doctor said not to worry but will look again on my next pet scan in December. what are the things i can to in prevention?
You can request your doctor to get a renal profile and renal function tests done.A ultrasound /Ct Scan KUB would also be desirable to establish a baseline .Keeping well hydrated by adequate intake of water and fluids, getting a early check done in case of dysuria, controling protein intake will all help in preventing any further deterioration in renal function.
