Had Loose Motions, Shivering, Fever, Vomiting. Given Norflox Tz. Can I Have 1 Dose A Day?

helo sir..i had watery loose motions 10-12 times daily for the last 2 days ..alongwith shivering on the 1st day.. fever , , vomiting ,..followed. I have been adviced to take NORFLOX TZ ,2 tabs daily for 5 days.. i feel weak after having one, can i have one tab daily dose or it has to be two? my loose motions have subsided now. i took one NORFLOX yesterday,and one today. please advice.

Hi Sudhir,
Thanks for writing your query.

Antibiotics should be taken in proper dose, otherwise your body may become resistant to that antibiotic in due course of time. Norflox TZ has to be taken twice a day after meals for complete cure.

You might be feeling weakness as you have passed 10-12 episodes of watery loose motions. Water and electrolytes of the body are also lost with these motions resulting in weakness.

You should take care of your diet and maintain your hydration.
Drink Oral Rehydration Fluid for regaining these lost electrolytes and fluid.
You can also take a probiotic with Vitamin B complex preparation.
