Had Hysterectomy, Pain While Peeing. What Is The Cure/
Hi I had a hysterectomy (uterus and half right ovary ) January 23. Since then insane pain while peeing. Feeling like something inside me is being pulled and twisted. Lasts for about half hour after. Always there to some degree. Much pain when catheter was being taken out. Much endometriosis removed. Urine culture clear, pelvic ultrasound clear. Any ideas....suggestions........Susan
Hi thanks for your question.
Pain during urination in post hystrectomy patient with normal urine eamination and normal ultrasound most probably could be due to No1;Addhesion formation in pelvis involving bladder and urethra. Second possibility could be entrapment of urinary bladder in the uterine stump and No 3 could be slightly higher pull up of the uterine stump resulting in pull up of the urethra which is giving you pain during urination.Consult your operating gynaecologist who may examine you to determine exact cause of pain during urination.
Hope this answers your question.
