Had Hysterectomy. Has Odorless Brown Discharge. Normal?

Hi, I am Ellen
My sister had complete hysterectomy 6 years ago. A few weeks ago, she spotted brownish discharge, odorless,
on her panty, and today she saw it again.

Do I have to pay for getting answer from this web site. First time visit.
Thanks.

Sorry, I just saw I need to pay $18.00. Could not afford it.
Please ignore my question.
Sorry for the trouble

Hi and thanks for your query.

I am so sorry to hear about what your sister has been experiencing. From the fact that she has had hysterectomy, I guess she must be in her 50's. I don't also know whether she had total or subtotal hysterectomy.

However, brownish discharge can mean a lot of different things. It could just be a transient change that doesn't represent any real disease, Observing for a couple of weeks if nothing new should come up is the way forward. If the discharge should be increasing in volume, becomes offensive, blood stained, new concerning symptoms develop, or it persists longer than 4 more weeks, then meeting and chatting with her doctor will be the best way out.

I hope you find this helpful and provides guidance on how to approach this problem. If you have more questions, please keep the coming and we shall provide answers. I wish you and your sister good health.
