Had Heart Attack, On Life Support, Doctor Told Nerves Around Heart Are Dead. What Does It Mean?

My brother had had a heart attack, he is on life support and have been told it doesn t look good. He is 45 years of age and our father died of a heart attack when he was 55yrs. I have been told that the nerves around his heart are dead, what does that mean?

Dear sir

Nerves arund the heart might mean pace maker and conduction system of heart which includes av nodes, purkinje fibres and bundle of hiss. It will fail which the heart attacks occurs in the massive range involving large parts of ventricular muscles causing decreased cardiac output..
