Had Fever, Vomiting, Weakness. Now Have Soreness Under The Jaw. Gums Are Bleeding When Brushed. Is It Flu Symptoms?

Just got over flu symptoms after 3 days (fever, vomiting, weakness). I am now suffering from soreness directly under my jaw line- so swollen that it is sensitive to touch, and also visible. It hurts to open my mouth very wide, and my gums are very sore and bleed when I brush my teeth. What is this from, and is associated with the flu?

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

Bleeding gums along with soreness occurs due to Gingivitis which is associated with many factores like poor oral hygiene, infections, nutritional deficiency, hormonal changes.
I would suggest you to treat the overlying condition.
I would encourage you to visit the Dentist and go for symptomatic treatment of complete mouth scaling and polishing.
Take antiseptic mouthwash gargles.
Take multivitamin tablets.
Maintain a good oral hygiene.

Hope this helps out.
