Had Ectopic Pregnancy, One Tube Is Cut Other Is Okay. Can Conceive? When?

i had an ectopic pregnancy last year Nov 2012 and now its April of 2013.last two months i have been trying hard to conceive but it seems to no positive response.my left tube was cut off.am 22 now.can i conceive in future again?or when will i come to conceive? then doctor said during the surgery he checked the other tube and he commented that the tube was okay.help me pliz

Hi and thanks for the query,
I am happy to inform you that even with one tube, it is very possible to conceive. Its true that there is a reduced probability of getting pregnant, but many many women still get pregnant after an ectopic pregnancy.Its very important however to avoid all sorts of tube inflammation (salpingitis). Avoid risky sexual contacts and do an infectious screen to treat any infections if present.
Its very important to get a keen followup by a gynecologist or preferably an infertility specialist.
Hope this helps, naturally for the start, you still have high chances of getting pregnant and making your children.
