Had Cortisone Shots. Feeling Nauseous, Foggy Head, Pain In The Kidney Area, Not Much Urination. Side Effects Of Shots?
Had 4 cortisone shots last Thursday. Felt really awful ever since. I have type 2 diabetes and my blood sugars have shot up. Come down a bit but not back to normal. I feel nauseous all the time and dizzy. My head is in a fog. Now I have pain in my middle right back (kidney area) and not peeing much although feeling like I want to. Upset stomach and nasty taste in my mouth. Is this a bad reaction to the shots?
The symptoms you are facing are suggestive of uncontrolled sugars, cortisone is known to cause increase in sugars. Here are my suggestions
1. Please approach a physician to revise your sugar medications 2. Get a complete blood count and renal function test done 3. Pain in the kidney area could be a stone, please get an ultra sound abdomen done as soon as possible 4. Upset stomach is because of cortisone, please take a pantoprazole before breakfast every morning until you are on it.
I hope I was of help
Regards
