Had Bilateral Contusions And Lacerations From Waist, Artery In Leg, Chronic Pain, Fibromyalgia. Been On Methadone, Opiate Use. Help

Hi, I have been on Methadone for almost 2 years and have never had my dose higher then 45mg. At the current time I am at 25mg but was at one point as low as 10mg and ready to be done with it, methadone is something I accepted due to opiate use. Now in 2010 I was involved in a heavy machinery accident that left me with Bilaterial Contusions and Lascerations from the waist down. I was in a compression accident. The machine had me pined between it and a solid concrete foundation, 911 was called and I was trapped, if the operator moved forward off of me there might of been a chance that it would had slid back and crushed my waist, pelvis and rest of lower extremities. EMS, Police and even Fire Resue came and dug the front of the loader lowered in the ground to get it off the ground in the back (like a teeter totter) even the main artery in my right leg. That was when I started to use painkillers. Pretty much tried them all but it seems that 4mg of Diladid works very well at managing my pain. Once I went on Methadone and stopped using painkillers I was very positive but all the pain from my accident came back and the extra wear on my body from working hard manual labour, I have been diagnosed chronic pain, fibromyalga and chronic myofasical pain syndrom (lowerback)... I want off methadone because it has broken the pattern of my addiction and use of prescrption pills and because I am in steady pain 24/7 and can barelly walk without discomfort. I think that I could benefit from a single dose a day opiate (diluidid 2-4mg, once - twice a day) couple that with medical cannabis daily I could have a fighting chance at getting away from methadone, what are you're thoughts and advice from what I am going through ?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The multiple pains that you are having is related to the injuries and fibromyalgia. The medications need a careful monitoring after clinical assessment of the severity of symptoms. Do attend a pain management clinic for it.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
