Had Back Surgery Done. Has Back Pain And Massive Bruise Near Incision. Advice?

My girlfriend had back surgery a couple months back and she can feel when it is going to rain due to what I believe is changing pressure. She was complaining about her back hurting and when she lifted her shirt she had a massive bruise near the incision. She cannot remember hitting it in that spot to the point where it would bruise. What happened?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The massive bruise near the line of incision is due to a blood collection under the stitch line. This needs to be examined by the surgeon and if the bruise is large enough then surgical drainage should be considered.
