Had a fracture in wrist, feels loose, uncomfortable. What can I do?

i fractured my radius on1/30/13. i went to the emergency room and got a soft cast put on it. i can t afford to go back to the doctor (no insurance). I tried to take the cast off today but my wrist still feels loose. the cast itself is very uncomforttable and i feel like the metal plate is sticking in my arm . can i i take it off and wear a wrist brace

Hi ! Irrespective of the insurance cover, I would suggest you to consult your orthopaedician and get definitive treatment done for your wrist to avoid any future restrictions in the hand movements. Wearing a brace may give you some temporary relief only. Wishing you a timely recovery.
