Had A Double Hernia Operation, Groins Swollen And Sore Testicles. Is It Normal?
yes hello i have just had a double hernia op last week on wed.one in the right groin and also an umbilical .i wake up in morning feeling sore but i havent been doing any lifting but walking alot just in the last 2 days.Now my testicles seem really sore and my groin seem really swollen again .is this normal cause they fell like there getting pulled or twisting .

It will take a few weeks to fully recover from this type of surgery. Therefore, I would consider this is quite normal progress at this stage.
It is good to walk to aid post-operative recovery. Take paracetamol and ibuprofen for any pain and drink plenty of fluids. Wear supportive undergarments if you are feeling swollen.

post hernia op-Pain persisting beyond the first few days after groin hernia repair is seen in 10–15% patients.the pain generally subsides over the early months.
as for swelling-it is quite common to have a swelling in the scrotum. This swelling contains water, and may contain some blood if bleeding has occurred. This is a result of the peculiar anatomy of the region. The swelling resolves with time. if the symptoms dont subside after few days then its better to consult your surgeon.
