Had A Craniotomy To Remove A Cyst. What Can I Do To Speed Up The Healing Process?

I had a craniotomy to remove a cyst on May 2, 2013. The wound was closed with dissolvable stiches, I had my post op wound check yesterday and was told that the wound has healed well and that the stiches should begin to dissolve. What can I do to "speed" the process? I have been using a soft brush when I shampoo my hair to try to get the stiches to come out but to no avail. The wound is in my hair line and it is getting difficult to comb my hair when the comb "catches" a stitch. Thank You
