HI,i had a MRI SCAN. IT SAYS IMPRESSION. 1, MILD ATROPHT AND NONSPECIFIC AREAS OF INCREASED SIGNAL INTENSITY IN THE PERIVENTRICULAR AND SUBCORTICAL WHITE MATTER MAINLY IN THE FRONTAL AND PARIETAL REGION WHICH COULD BE SECONDARY TO ISCHEMIC OR DEMYELINTING DISEASE OR VASCULITIS. THERE IS NO INVOLVEMENT OF THE CORPUS CALLOSUM................2, THERE ARE MILD INFLAMMATORY CHANGES ESPECIALLY IN THE LEFT FRONTAL SINUS, ETHMOID AND MAXILLARY SINUSES AND AIR CELLS BILATERALLY. Sinuses indicate sinusitis which is perpetual runny or stuffy nose ,face or frontal headache.
As for brain-hyperintensity shadows can be co-related to your symptoms you are undergoing clinically- it may have meaning if some symptoms in different areas of body are there, Ask your Doc. to co-relate.
these shadows are in multiple sclerosis also.
