General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

I have gone through your query, and all your husband's symptoms are side-effects of the leuprorelin injection, but should soon subside.

The only way we can treat the side effects he is experiencing is by treating them specifically. The doctor's would have weighed the pros against the cons, and decided to administer the drug only as the benefits would have outweighed the risks, which is why I do not think discontinuation would be an option.

Instead, keep him hydrated, mild physiotherapy and mild medications for treating the spasms (anti-spasmodics or muscle relaxants; eg. carisoprodol, cyclobenzaprine, etc.), will help in relieving him of his symptoms.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.

Hi, frequent urination, fatigue, and cramps in the theighs.
It appears to be due to urinary tract infection, other causes are stone in the urinary tract.
I usually prescribe to my patients with such symptoms, cephalexin500mg BD, pain killers, and alkaline citrate. Thank you.
