Had LAD Stent, Given Effient, Not Affordable. Is This Called As Widow Maker?

I had an LAD stent in April 2011......My Dr. gave me EFFIENT to take........I could not afford this medication and he will not change me to anything else ......I have been without this medication for a long time......Now I am scared because I did not know this was called THE WIDOW MAKER.........I don t know what to do.......

Aspirin is basic – cheapest of drugs! / It is a must
Clopidogrel (same class as the prasugrel) – is older, cheaper and equally efficient...can be substituted...
Have a second opinion....
There will be other drugs too – like betablockers, aceblockers and stains...
