Had Cosmofer. Have Several Body Piercings Which Has Turned Septic And Infected. Related To Cosmofer?
I had a Cosmofer (Iron infusion) procedure last week. I have several body piercings and since the infusion all of the piercings which have surgical steel in them have turned septic and infected. All of the piercings which are pierced with implant grade titanium and PTFE (a bio plastic) haven't. Is this likely to be directly related to the infusion.

I have not come across such a side effect of iron infusion so far. You could be allergic to that material used in piercing causing contact dermatitis characterised by oozing and discharge which got secondarily infected. I recommend you to remove those piercings, apply antibiotic cream like mupirocin 2 % till it heals.
