HSG Test Done, Not Tested Positive For Ovulation. Will HSG Test Affect My Ovulation?
Hi, I had an HSG test on day 9 of my cycle. I started testing for ovulation on day 12 of my cycle, I am now on day 16 of my cycle and have still not tested positive. Usually the test becomes positive on day 13 for me and I have a normal cycle of 27 days. Does the HSG affect your ovulation? If so will your cycle return to normal during the next cycle or will it be altered?

Ovulation may get delayed when there is any stress, either physical or mental. This usually returns to normal once the situation tides over. As you underwent a procedure, your ovulation is bound to be disturbed in this cycle, but do not worry, it will settle down to normal from the next cycle onward. As such, HSG does not effect ovulation since it does not involve use of any hormones. Hope your query is clarified. Take care.
