HBSeAg Negative, HBsAg Positive, No HBV DNA Qualitative. Acute Or Chronic HBV? Treatment?
Hello Doctor, Height: 5 6 ; Weight: 47; Sex: Female; Age: 29 Condition: Hepatitis B Results: HBSeAg is Negative; HBsAg is positive; HBV DNA Qualitative is not found. Please let me know if i am having acute or chronic HBV. What should I do to confirm that I have acute or chronic. and what would be treatment ? Thanks in advance for advice
Hi.. Thanks for choosing HCM for your query.. You are not having an acute HBV as the DNA is not found in blood.. It could a remote infection in the past ( can be known by Ig G levels ). Treatment is not require for chronic infection.. It can spread to others by your blood( if you do a blood donation to any one) or body fluids (saliva/semen etc.,).. Take care...
