Grinding, Clicking In Shoulder. Hand, Wrist Hurts. Cause?

My left shoulder has always felt odd.... as if it is out of place. It doesn t exactly hurt.. but whenever I shift it up or down, I feel grinding and can hear/feel a clicking. My other shoulder does not do this and it is fine. Also, my left shoulder slumps 24/7. It feels weird to shift it up, more like a chore for some reason. Whenever I m wearing a hoodie or a jacket, the sleeve always goes down my shoulder to my elbow and it s really annoying. Also, it feels as if the circulation gets cut off or something.. I can t describe it. The big blue vein you can sometimes see in your hands feels like it actually hurts in my left arm . It makes my whole hand and wrist hurt from time to time. I ve had this all my life, from what I remember. I do game a lot, and I m always typing, but I use my right hand more so over use wouldn t make sense.

Cosmetic & Plastic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,
From your symptoms it appears that you have an instability of your left shoulder. The arm joins the trunk at the shoulder joint and this is kept in place with the help of ligaments and muscles. Laxity of the ligaments might lead to a partial dislocation of the shoulder and at times a complete dislocation. This process can go on and lead to recurrent episodes of shoulder dislocation. The best thing for you to do is to visit an orthopedic surgeon who would examine you and suggest X-rays and CT Scans if indicated to accurately diagnose your condition and then recommend specific treatment.
