Got Insomnia, Taken Drug 25-iMbome Which Contributed To Mania And Insomnia. Prescribed Atarax But No Help. Suggest?

I've got severe insomnia, taken a drug called 25-iMbome its a phenylthalamine that acts as a full agonist on 5HT receptors, and I feel that has definitely contributed to my mania and insomnia. I was recently prescribed 25mg Atarax to take a night and it simply did not work even when I doubled the dose myself to 50mg. A friend gave me their prescribed Trazodone and I was wondering if I should take it? It's 50mg and it's said that it's a 5HT antagonist so would that counteract on the 25-i? please I need to rest and get into the rhythm of doing more with my life

Hello.Phenylthalamine has been able to contribute to your insomnia.
Hydroxyzine 25 mg is a sedating antihistamine but is not suitable to treat insomnia.There are 3 types of insomnia: insomnia with depressive symptoms, insomnia with symptoms of anxiety and pure insomnia without anxiety and depression symptoms.Besides of insomnia,¿do you have anxiety symptoms (palpitations, nervousness, shortness of breath) or symptoms of depression (feeling sad, crying)?
I treat my patients with Trazodone 50-100 mg at night when insomnia with depressive symptoms is the diagnosis.When the diagnosis is insomnia with anxiety symptoms I treat my patients with Lorazepam 1-2 mg at night.
If insomnia is without symptoms of anxiety or depression I treat my patients with Lormetazepam 1-2 mg at night.I wish you good health.
