Hi,

Trigestrel (Ethinylestradiol & Levonorgestrel), a combination oral contraceptive can cause weight gain. Trigestrel like several other oral contraceptives containing both estrogen and progestin can help reduce acne & are approved by the FDA for the treatment of acne vulgaris. The OC pills decrease the circulation of androgens, which decreases the production of sebum.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
