Hello, thanks for the query to H.C.M.C.
Six times minimum stool passing with too much fart.
High protein diet as pulses , lentils, black pepper are the main culprits for excessive fart so adjust according to this . If digestive enzymes are taken you will have more fart.
Now question is that 5-6 times stool passes in a day.
Please note down that if you have diarrhea ( liquid type of stool) than it is a worrisome.
If your's stool every time is semisolid than a little bit worrisome.
If your's stool solid not hard( normal consistency ) than it is not a cause of concern.
Reasons are as if diarrhea than take treatment as anti-diarrhea drugs.
If semisolid than have a course of amoebiasis treatment ( anti-amoebic).
If last reason than it is due to anxiety. Causes of anxiety are excessive work , domestic problems, study etc.
GOOD LUCK have a good day.Dr. HET.

Hi and thanks for the query,
Its important to consider a few points. Have you changed your diet lately? A change in the daily life activities like becoming more sedentary or reduction in the amount of water that you take are also very important to be considered. Excessive growth of anaerobic bacteria that produce gas within the stomach could produce some of these effects.
Change of life style especially through increasing physical activity, drinking lots of water, eating much vegetables, fruits and fibre could on their own change the situation completely. It could be necessary at some point in time o do stool exams and cultures. Irritable bowel syndrome could be a diagnostic possibility, but for this, I suggest the opinion of a gastroenterologist might be needed.
Thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
