Getting Palpitations, Burning Sensation Across Chest, Back, Arm. Pain In Throat, Neck, Ear. Blood Test Normal. Help?

Hi. Over the last week I have been getting palpitations. Then suddenly on Sunday night I got sharp burning sensation across my chest, back and arm. A sharp pain in my throat. These pains would all circulate. I went to ER, normal blood pressure, ECG and blood tests. All fine. The pain in my chest in gone but my left arm still hurts, the vein is very prominent and it hurts all down the inner bit. On the left side of my neck also hurts and in my ear as well also aches. It rises up to my temple occasionally. Only on the left side. My left side of my neck feels heavy. Is this just a pinched nerve or should I be worried?

Welcome to Health Care Magic and thank you for asking.
In my opinion these palpitations and pains are being generated due to anxiety. You should not be worried about these symptoms. These are common symptoms and many people go through them.
Anxiety can cause actual pains and palpitations and his is not just your thinking. If anxiety is controlled, the accompained symptoms of palpitations and pains also improve.

If I was your doctor, I will do the following:
1. Examine ear for infection.
2. Get X- ray of neck spine. Your ECG is normal as you told.
3. Search for any specific factor that triggers your anxiety. If specific cause is found, plan desensitization therapy.
4. Advise relaxation and deep breathing exercises.
5. Consider starting anti- anxiety medicines and pain modulators.
