Getting Boils On Body After A Bad Sting Of Pus Filled Vein In Neck. What Is Going On ?

getting boils on my body for no apparent reason. doctor says it is simple oily skin problem, but all this started with a bad sting of pus filled vein in my neck. now biols keep popping over my body for no apparent reason. also, applied t back to an open boil and the skin around it turned shiny, so not used it since. any idea whats going on?

Hi,

Boils are skin infections.. Also called pyoderma.

It is a bacterial infection.. Caused by staphylococci.

Whenever pyoderma occurs, one should find out the preciptating cause.

As you said, there is no apparent cause... But , remember there may be some hidden cause.

See, actually pyoderma occurs due to poor immunity, poor hygine, poor nutrition or some internal diseases like DM,HIV,anaemia or other.

I advise you to consult dermatologist.

He will diagnose some cause after thorough history,keen clinical examination and complete array of investigations.

Then and then , proper treatment will be given.

And he will manage to prevent the relapse of pyodema.
