HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Losing weight can be difficult at times. Weight is loss when the amount of energy put into the body (food and drink) is less than the amount of energy put out by the body (by activity).

This is achieved by either decreasing input ( food or drink) or increasing your energy output (exercise).
It is easier to lose weight by decreasing food and drink calories than by exercise. Exercise comes in handy in preventing weight regain and in heart fitness.

To lose weight by diet there are two main methods suggested.
(1) low calorie low fat diet- this involves reducing the amount of fat used. This is done by reducing use of oil, fatty meats, butter, high fat cheese, milk or dressings. Increasing the use of water and vegetables. Cutting out juices or sodas

(2) the other diet is low carb diet. This diet is based on the fact that carbohydrate intake cause the body to release insulin and insulin stops fat from breaking down.
Less carbohydrates- less insulin- more fat will break down.
It involves eliminating sodas and juices and using water instead. In addition you would need to reduce the use of rice/pasta/bread/pastry/some breakfast cereals/pototoes. You can use as much protein as you wish on these diets.

You can consider checking out each diet and start which ever one is easier for you.

There are also online programs for weight loss that may be helpful

I hope this helps
