Frequent Urination, Throbbing In The Vagina, Swollen Labia Minora. Reason?

Hello, about a week ago my husband and I had sex, the next day I felt as if I had to pee very frequently. When I would pee it was a normal amount. As time went on I could also feel throbbing inside of my vagina. Now it has been a week and my labia minora is swollen on the right side and I have cramping in my side around the hip and sometimes my lower back on the same side. The swollen labia is only about the size of a pea and is sore to touch. I do not have any discharge, burning urination, or weird odors. What could this be?

It appears that you could be suffering from an infection. All your symptoms match that of an infection, for which I request you to visit your doctor. It is difficult to pin-point a particular condition without physically examining you and conducting laboratory examinations. Which is why you will have to visit a doctor and get yourself diagnosed, treatment will follow.

A swollen labia minora could be due to dry masturbation, dry intercourse, friction from undergarments, lubricants, menstrual pad, soap, scratching, bruising and various other reasons. The infection is of prime concern. For this swelling, I would advise warm sitz baths with epsom salt, warm compresses and wearing comfortable cotton lose undergarments, or avoiding undergarments completely till you get better.
