Frequent Urge To Urinate And Difficulty In Passing Urine. Is It Prostatitis?
26 years old, Male. I am finding difficulty while passing urine. It takes a while before I start passing it and the stream is generally uneven and broken. Also I feel an urge to urinate very frequently. Though I am drinking close to 3 litres of water daily, i feel it normal sometimes. From some online research, I doubt of me having prostatitis. Please advice if there is a home-solution for the problem or do i need to consult a doctor to get it confirmed. What is the treatment and how long will it take for correction? I am unmarried. Sexually inactive. Masturbate daily.
As you mentioned you are struggling with difficulty in passing urine and frequency. These finding suggest Urinary tract infection ( prostratitis, urethritis, cystitis, epididymitis, orchitis)
It may be accompanied with mild fever and pain/burning during urination. It is common infection in men and who are uncircumcised are more at risk to become infected.
Commonly UTI is caused by bacterium E.Coli but it can also be caused by Chlamydia and Mycoplasma.Bacteria could travel farther up the ureters to infect the kidneys. You are advised to take plenty of fluids and cranberry juice can help you to heal and prevent such bugs. Visit your urologist, who may advise you for CBC, urinanalysis and urine culture to diagnose. Then UTI can successfully be treated with proper antibiotics with in a week.
Hope it helps.
Take Care!
