Frequent Headaches, Triggers With Change In Weather, Hunger, Smell. Cause And Remedy?

Hi doctor.... Actually I get headache very frequently Don know the actual cause but it is triggered due to change in weather, hunger , any smell specially the perfume etc .... What could be the possible cause? also, sinarest helped me to recover ...tablets like disprin doesnt help. Can there be any side effects of taking sinarest or is it safe? I had already my checkup done and i dont have eye sight or sinus problem. But yes my BP is slightly on low side. Can you pls guide what can i do to get permanent relief of the same. Mostly the pain is in my eyes and eyebrows.

Hi Shilpia,
Thanks for writing your query.

It will be helpful if you mention the location of your headache. Whether it is localized to one side only or is it a generalzed headache?

After reading your post, it seems that you are having Migraine headaches. These are one sided headaches and are usually trigerred by some factors, some of them are :-

1. Lack fo sleep
2. Missed meal
3. Physical / mental stress
4. Cigarrate/ Alcohol
5. During mensturation in females
6. Dairy products
7. Some foods which contain MSG
8. Change in climatic conditions, more in cold
9. Certain smell of perfumes

You can notice which factor is triggering your attack and avoid that factor. This will reduce the frequency and intensity of the attacks.

Taking Paracetamol 500mg along with Domperidone 10 mg is helpful during the initial period of the attack. Stronger pain killers are needed for more severe attack. Antimigraine medicines can be started after getting yourself examined by a Physician to rule out other causes of headaches and take medicines under medical supervision only.

I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
