Frequent headache. CT scan done. What does findings mean? Remedy?
I am undergoing headache frequently at front side of head above left nose.On diagnosis the ct scanof PNS , it was observed that tiny calcific area within the matrix in the left frontal region . The impresson was bilateral osteomeatal & left spheno-ethmoidal pattern of muco periosteal disease with sinonasal polysis. what is the meaning of these technical words & what is the remedy of this disease.
Your CT Scan report of PNS shows that 1.There is calcification in left frontal region and this is healed stage. Nothing to worry about this. 2.Your Para nasal sinuses shows changes of chronic sinusitis leading to polyp( mass like) formation. 3.Bilateral involvement of sinus meatus( opening) with changes in mucosa and bones of Para nasal sinuses. Left sphenoid and ethmoid sinus is also involved.
Treatment options are medical and surgery. Medical management includes steroids, antibiotics and decongestants. Surgical options is FESS operation. Get well soon.
I would like to explain your CT scan PNS in simple language.
1. bilateral osteomeatal & left spheno-ethmoidal pattern of muco periosteal disease: This means there is slight thickening and inflammation in the walls of the oparanasal sinuses (air spaces around the nose) and in the region where these sinuses open into the nasal cavity (osteomeatal complex).
2. sinonasal polysis: There are polyps (fluid filled structures) in the sinuses and nose (complete details not mentioned) but I guess that these are relatively small as size is not mentioned.
Both above findings need to be first treated by medications.
Hope this helps.

impression: no MR evidence for acute infarction, hemorrhage or mass effect. a couple non specific subtle foci of white matter signal change within the brain which are non specific. Differential includes chronic headaches, demyelination, or small vessel change trace bilateral mastoid airspace disease, a non specific finding Can you please tell me what this means?
Ive been having headaches right side only with numbness in face, nausea, blurred vision, confusion, and memory loss. I had a CT scan and this is what it said.. inferior right frontal lobe is associated with a small area of parenchymal blush. There is no associated abnormal attenuation or atrophy in the parenchyma. No acute or chronic hemorrhage is apparent. The findings are consistent with the presence of a congenital venous malformation. This is of extremely doubtful clinical significance .....What does this mean?
My latest CT scan showed this report. Ventricles are slightly dilated midline with minimal periventricular white matter changes. No extra-axial collection is noted. This report followed an ER visit where omnipresent tinnitus and occasional sounds in my head , as well as persistent frontal lobe or temple headaches. Prior to this, complex partial seizures now controlled by Keppra, fainting, encephalopathy, word-finding and social intetraction communication dysfunction, partial heart vessels obstruction now being treated, temporary renal failure, now being treated and showing improvement, type two diabetic, with glucose up from 126 to now 203. Vitamin D and B12 nonexistent in blood tests, now treated with daily supplements. Balance, short term memory, cognitiveness, behavior control compromised. TBIs following near fatal fracture in 1987 and subsequent concussions in 1992, 1999, 2017. IQ was tested at 142, but subsequent testing in 128 range. Neurologist referred to my MRIs, CT, and other scans as weird or abnormal . What would you conclude?
I have a frontal headache almost every day. Sometimes the pain comes down the left side of my face (like a nerve pain). I have used nasal sprays, sinus medications, allergy medications, and I almost always have to resort to Imitrex which isn t real effective. I have been treated with antibiotics for possible sinus infection with no relief. I have MS but my doc says they are not related. I m just starting to get worn out from having these every day. Most days I wake up with the headache. What should I do next?
Good day, I have a question, for the past few weeks I have a burning sensation on the chicks the nose and somethimes the chin. My face is not red at all. I doctor prescribed me antibiotic for 12 days thinking it was a sinusitis but it is persistant. I don t have a runny nose and I do not caught at all. Also when I take the chick skin between my fingers I have a feeling the burning sensation is in the skin or vein not in the bones. Does that makes you think about a specific condition. Thank you for your help. YYYY@YYYY

Our daughter is 6 months old. She is taking an antibiotic for a sinus infection. I changed her sheets to a darker color and noticed that her head is sweating (it could have been doing this all along, but I never noticed until yesterday). It is enough to leave a large wet spot. She has also has had diarrhea. Should I be overly concerned for SIDS risk?
