Frenulum Was Torn During Intercourse. Lost Lots Of Blood. How To Treat?

Hi,

My frenulum tore during intercourse yesterday and I lost lots of blood. I cleaned the blood with some fresh tissue papers and the bleeding stopped immediately. Do I still need to get it stitched? Or can I just apply some neosporin regularly and wait for it to heal? And, how much time does it take to heal permanently?

Hi,
This type of frenulum injury is common after forceful sex.
Continue applying Neosporin powder or cream for about 5-7 days.
Within few days it will be healed completely and during this time avoid intercourse.
Afterwards avoid forceful intercourse or apply some lubricant jelly for easy penetration.
At present if swelling or pain is there at the site, then go for short antibiotic medicine course.
Ok and bye.
