Freckles around ankles and feet, scar tissue around ankle

I am a 47 year old white male. I have noticed that I am beginning to get freckles around my ankles and along the side of my feet . I have recently started to take Taekwondo and have been stretching my ankles a lot more than I did. I have played soccer for the better part of my life and I have quite a bit of scar tissue around my ankle that I have been trying to stretch out. Are the freckles a sign that I need to get something checked, a result of my new stretching routine or just freckles?

You seem to be having pigmented purpuric dermatosis or schambergs disease.

Now this is essentially a harmless skin condition. It is basically only a cosmetic problem which means that it looks bad.

Common in people with long standing jobs or in players.
Occurs due to leakage of blood which settles beneath the skin.
Various lightening creams can be used but the lesions tend to reappear on stopping treatment.

Take oral vitamin C supplementation.
It is better not to worry about these lesions.
