Fractured Tibia And Fibula. Dynamization Done Due To Slow Growth After Static Interlocking Nailing. Can Cigarette Or Marijuana Be Smoked?

Hi. I have a fractured tibia and fibula. Static interlocking Nailing was performed on my leg three months ago. The growth has been very slow. Hence, dynamization was done 3 days ago. I want to know if I can smoke 1-2 cigarettes per day without effecting the healing process. I am finding it very difficult to quit it completely. Also What about marijuana? Among cigarettes and marijuana, which is a better option?

Hi and thanks for the query,
I understand it might be very difficult to quit smoking. However, I do think its just the best thing to. I am afraid I would recommend any doses or prescribe a choice between tobacco and marijuana, for they are both not healthy for you.
I would otherwise suggest you quit, with an appropriate withdrawal plan. Mixing other activities during this period is important. Your primary care physician is needed to collaborate with you for two main reasons. First to discuss properly a withdrawal plan, and secondly to monitor closely for any possible withdrawal symptoms for early management.
This best for your health. Thanks and kind regards,
