Fracture On The Rib. Pain In The Sternum To The Collar Bone. What Is Wrong?

I have had severl accidents like one a month since december to my chest. I have been diagnosed with a fracture to my 2nd rib on the right side of my chest. I am having a lot of pain in from my sternum to the upper right side of my collar bone. My collar bone on the right side now veers off at a different angle then the left side of my collar bone. Whas wrong with me??

Hello,
Your fractured 2nd rib on the right side needs rest for a while. The veering off of the right collar bone with movement needs assessment by an orthopedic surgeon followed by X ray if necessary. It is quite possible that the ligaments could have been injured. You may need to take pain relievers for some time.
Most rib fractures heal by themselves.
