Found Am 8 Weeks Pregnant. Scan Shows There Is Tissue Inside. Will I Have To Do D&C?

Hi there. I was told last week I was mid carrying and I was 8 wks. I had to go home to wait for nature to take its course. I went for a scan on Tuesday and they said to come back Friday for another scan as there was still tissue inside. They have said if tomorrow there is still tissue I need to have d&c. Will I get another scan after tomorrow or if tissue tomorrow will I be booked in for d&c ASAP?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
It depends on the size of the tissue that is retained inside and if there is any active bleeding from the uterus. If there is no bleeding then they might consider to wait for 1 or 2 more days for the tissue to expel spontaneously.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
