For How Long Will The Anti Rabies Vaccination Be Effective?

my son was bitten by our puppy 3 weeks ago and his vaccination for anti rabies is still on-going, his last shot is scheduled on July 27. Unfortunately, he was bitten again by our puppy a while ago. My question is, is he protected from rabies? My son is turning 4 on July 30, 2011 and he is weighing 18 kls. Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you

Hi...he will be protected from rabies as he is still on going immunization and by this time, he should have developed antibodies. Do not worry. You need not take another course of anti-rabies vaccines.
