For How Long Does Marijuana Affect The System?

Hi, I am having surgery in ten days and smoked a little marijuana last night ( I am definitely not a frequent smoker). I am going under general anesthesia, will smoking last night have any affect on me during surgery? Should I be worried, is there any way to get it out of my system faster?

ok...does it affect your breathing?
It's a very individual effect with about 10-20% of people getting some asthma like symptoms from it. The duration of asthma from environmental triggers varies from between seconds after it being gone to weeks. BUT if someone can run around the block and not get winded, it's highly unlikely to affect surgical risk. The inflammation has no relation to the blood level. Often the irritation in the lung is there for a long time after it is not in the blood.
