Foot Injury, Scrape, Pain On Sleeping, Walking, Pain Below Foot. Medical Attention Required?

My daughter was doing a backflip today andit hit the side of her foot on a table. She seemed like she just scraped it. I noticed no other issue. She seemed okay until tonight after sleeping several hours she woke up in pain. She said that it hurt to walk. The pain is on the side she hit as well as the bottom of her foot. Should I take her in to see a doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thanks for the query
If swelling or discoloration of the skin or tenderness or deformity at the site present than you must rule out any type of fracture. Else it is a soft tissue injury and will recover in few days.
You can wait for 2-3 days and keep the foot elevated, do not wear weight on it. If swelling and pain reduces need not to worry and can heal up easily. Hot fermentation can help.
Best Wishes
