There is botulism caused by clostridium bacteria and there is also Staphylococcus bacteria and also E.Coli (Toxigenic) -they can all cause diarrhea. Other things that can do it are viruses such as Rotavirus and Norwalk virus. Usually , if your immune systems are healthy , the symptoms get better after 72 hours. But if the symptoms continue, many need antibiotic treatment for bacterial infections and not fot viral gastroenteritis except for supportive treatment with fluid and electrolyte replacement. If your symptoms continue, I suggest you have stool cultures and blood count done and see your doctor for a prescription antibiotic. Wish you well.
