Food poisoning, diarrhoea, stomach pain, cramps, relief on passing gas. Cure for symptoms?

i recently got food poisoning (i think), because i had some food from this place and the the same night and morning after my stomach really hurt like i was having cramps a few min after the cramps started i really had to poop (running stomach/ diarrhea ) and after pooping the pain/stomach cramps went away (on both occasions) i didn t have this problem again for about a week so i figured i was ok now. However a week later i started experiencing the same type of cramps really painful but after i fart or pop the pain goes away. what could be the problem?

Hello, jaded.lust87,
Food poisoning can be caused by different bugs or bacteria.
There is botulism caused by clostridium bacteria and there is also
Staphylococcus bacteria and also E.Coli (Toxigenic) -they can all
cause diarrhea. Other things that can do it are viruses such as
Rotavirus and Norwalk virus. Usually , if your immune systems
are healthy , the symptoms get better after 72 hours. But if the
symptoms continue, many need antibiotic treatment for bacterial
infections and not fot viral gastroenteritis except for supportive
treatment with fluid and electrolyte replacement.
If your symptoms continue, I suggest you have stool cultures
and blood count done and see your doctor for a prescription
Wish you well.
