Fluctuating Blood Pressure, Taking Yasmin. Reason?
Hi, I have been told to monitor my blood pressure at home because of white coat syndrome (though it is actually the blood pressure test that makes me nervous, not the doctor!) Anyway, today it was 141/66 and I was wondering what that means? I was surprised to see a big gap between the numbers. I have no reason to have a high blood pressure apart from being on the contraceptive pill (yasmin) and would not expect to have a low blood pressure either. Thanks

If the fluctuation is wide and not proportional to the situation, it needs to be
> Contraceptives can contribute to BP changes - can raise, not lower!
The best option will be to be followed up by your own doctor / Seeing the same doctor, on more than one occasion and reassurance helps
