Fluctuating Blood Pressure Levels. Taking Losar. Reason?

My husband aged 50 with normal health experiences fluctuation in blood pressure between 100/70 and 140/100 within 12 hours. for the last 1 year he is having losar 25 daily once as per a doctors advice. But for the last month we have been observing this situation.so pl advice.i would also like to know if there is any internal problem if the diastolic is always around 100 even after taking medicines

Your husband aged 50 yrs, normal health have fluctuation of B.P.between 100/70, and 140/100.taking losartan 25 daily on doctors advise.
The fluctuation is from one month. your doubt is is there any internal problem if the diastolic is always around 100, even after taking medicines.
The fluctuation could be as the tablet is taken the blood pressure will come down to 100/70. and by evening or night the reading will become 140/100.
For this you can use half the dose in the morning and half in the evening. or you can have a change of the drug.
Regarding the other doubt you can change to some other drug, which will have effect on both systolic as well as diastolic pressure, like atenolol,
It signifies the effect of internal organs like kidney, but once the diastolic is maintained at normal the effect wont be there, if it is secondary to the kidney problem then the reading will be still more and corrected when the kidney problem is corrected.
