Flu, dizziness, back and neck pain. What is wrong? What could it be?

HI, I am emailing for my mom. In the past 6mths or so, she has gotten the flu once and colds the other times and it hits really hard. Then the past two times she has gotten so dizzy she can t stand up for most of the morning and then later that day or the next she is fine. Then this last time about a week ago she passed out and didn t even know it and might have whip-lashed her neck because her neck and back have been sore since. Then, two days ago she got sick again and yesterday she ended up in the ER. They did a CT scan and can t find anything and they don t know why she is getting these spells. Can you advise what she should ask for or focus on certain symptoms. Thanks
